Hi everyone, Attached here are two copies of the new playlist for the first half of the evening for the intermediate jams I'll be leading in January, February, and March. The first copy of the song list is a one page larger print version of the list that gives just a quick note or two on the chord progression for each song. The second copy is a two page smaller print version of the list that gives the chord progressions in full for the songs and/or keys them to the 'Basic Chord Progressions' handout (also included in the attachments). The keys that are shown on the list in parentheses simply refer to the keys that the songs are most likely to be played in at the jam, due to which of the regulars and semi-regulars at the jam are most likely to lead the singing on the songs if and when they are called at the jam. This does not mean that these are the only keys that the songs may be played in during the first half of the evening at the jams. The New Song List & Recordings The new song list for the jam consists almost exclusively of songs selected by regulars at the jam who sent me short lists of songs that they especially would like to call at the jam. There are a few songs on the new list that, as best as I recall, have never been played at the jams before when I have been leading them: East Tennessee Blues, Nashville Blues, and Ramshackle Shack. There is also one song on the new list (She Left Me Standing On The Mountain) that, if I recall correctly, has only been played once or twice in the past at the jams, and that was a long time ago. Here are some recordings of these four songs: East Tennessee Blues - key of C East Tennessee Blues - YouTube East Tennessee Blues Billy Strings w Sierra Hull "East Tennessee Blues" 12-21-2016 - YouTube Nashville Blues - key of Dm Nashville Blues - YouTube Ramshackle Shack - key of E Ramshackle Shack - YouTube She Left Me Standing On The Mountain - key of G She Left Me Standing On the Mountain - YouTube Have a happy New Year!
