Becky Smith InterviewIn this podcast, Gary Eller conducts an in-depth interview with Becky Smith, a former IBA president, long time Idaho resident, and extraordinary professional mandolin player and music teacher. Becky has an amazingly broad background in music and was fortunate to have lived, and be part of the music scene, in England during the 1960s, Houston in the 1970s, California in the early 1980s, and then finally to Idaho in late 1980. Becky’s list of musicians she has played with is amazing including the likes of David Grisman and Sam Bush. Like our previous podcast guests, Becky was greatly influenced by the Weiser scene (especially Stickerville) that inspired her playing and became a big part of her life (one of the reasons for moving to Idaho). So don’t miss this podcast, it is really a treasure, and it is great to capture this on tape - Thanks Gary!
